If it isn’t one thing it’s another with AKB48. It was revealed during the debut of K5 by Yuko Oshima that she’s been having problems with her throat for a while and that her doctor has recommended surgery. Her doctor also recommended that she did not sing before the operation but being the dedicated girl that she is Yuko turned up to K5 to sing a couple of songs. What the problem with her throat is hasn’t been revealed – tonsils perhaps? The surgery takes place today and I’m not sure how long she’s likely to be out of action. She’s had it pretty rough this past 6 months with an appendix operation as well. I wish Yuko a speedy recovery and hope the surgery goes smoothly for her.
