Aki-P’s New Ace In AKB48 – Real or CG?

13 06 2011

Fans have been questioning as to why a former NMB48 auditionee has been transferred mysteriously all of a sudden to become an AKB48 kenkyuusei. Aimi Eguchi is having a massive push and has already been on the cover of Weekly Playboy and is the campaign girl of Glico’s Aisu no Mi sweets. Aki-P thinks very highly of her and thinks she’s the next ace of AKB48 even calling her “the heroine of the new age” and said she’s like Jurina Matsui in terms of skill. The icing on the cake is when Aki-P said that he may have created AKB48 just to meet her!!

But that’s not all that’s been bothering the fans – they think Aimi isn’t a real person at all but a CG idol that’s been created by compositing other AKB48 members features. I find that a bit hard to believe but the Glico website which has an audio interview with her has had some saying it closely resembles Acchan’s voice. With no video evidence of Aimi so far, the fans will speculate that she’s not real until she makes an appearance.

Well on taking a closer look at her picture, I’m starting to believe that it could indeed be a CG idol. I can see Acchan’s eyes and some Yuko and Tomochin. What’s the point in creating a CG idol then? When is Aki-P going to let us in on the joke? What do you guys think – is she a real person or not?

This is from the Glico website, looks even more fake especially the profile pics and the voice especially the mannerisms is definitely Acchan’s:

And this is the actual Glico CM

AKB48 Hong Kong Election Results

At the same time as the official senbatsu election was held in Japan, fans in Hong Kong who also bought the single “Everyday Kachuusha” were able to vote in their own election and the results of how the voting went down is below. Taiwan Welcomes Mayuyu

13 06 2011

To celebrate the launch of the AKB48 Official Shop Taiwan, Mayuyu travelled alone it seems to the country to shake hands with the lucky 500 fans who had been chosen at random from a draw. Mayuyu looks like she was given a very enthusiastic welcome from the fans and judging from the smile on her face had a great time in Taiwan. The Taiwan shop makes it the 3rd overseas one following Hong Kong and Singapore.

Check out the fancam of Mayuyu’s arrival at the airport and going to a bus.

NMB48 Debut Single “Zetsumetsu Kurokami Shoujo” – Radio Rip

13 06 2011

A radio rip of NMB48′s debut single “Zetsumetsu Kurokami Shoujo” has been uploaded on Youtube for all of you to hear. The single will be released on July 20th. It’s quite a good song I reckon and should do well but will it get to no.1? It depends which top artist they’ll be up against. Remember if they don’t reach the top, they’ll have to perform at their own theater in bloomers!!

Sorry for the dull white background video for the song. You’d think the uploader would have added a picture of the group for the video.
