AKB48 Members Heading For Vietnam

6 members of AKB48 will be heading out to Hanoi in Vietnam to take part in the 2nd Japan-Vietnam Friendship Music Festival on October 9th. This festival is mostly as a thank you gift for Vietnam for generously donating money (16 million yen), 50,000 underwear and other items that helped Japan after the Tohoku earthquake in March. The 6 members going to Vietnam will be Sae, Ayarin, Lovetan, Natsumi, Wasamin and Micha and all of them were in attendance at a press conference yesterday to announce the lineup for the festival. Going along with AKB48 will be Koda Kumi, w-inds, AAA, EXILE, Godai Natsuko and Sugi Ryotaro.

Rent An AKB48 Voice Apartment

How many of you would like to rent a special apartment which features the voices of AKB48 members and have some of the interior design with pictures of the group as well? That is the reality now thanks to Apaman who AKB48 is helping to promote their services.

Apaman revealed that several of these special AKB48 apartments (AKB48 Voice Rooms) will be going on sale next month and I’m sure they will have no problems renting them out to wotas who will want the experience of living in a dream apartment filled with the voices of their favorite member. There will be sound sensors placed at various locations in the apartment and as you pass the sensor a voice from an AKB48 member will ring out. How nice it would be to come home after a hard day’s work and hear Acchan, Yukirin or Sasshi’s voice welcoming you back.

As well as voice sensors, the shower curtains at the apartment will have life sized AKB48 photos plastered on it, also towels and hangers will have profile pictures on them too. Having pictures on walls and shower curtains is fine but seeing them on towels is going a bit too far but that’s just my opinion.

AKB48 PB Breaks Record

AKB48′s latest PB entitled “AKB48 Sousenkyou! Mizugi Surprise Happyou 2011 (AKB48 General Election! Swimsuit Surprise Announcement 2011″ has just broken a record for the highest selling female photo book for a week. AKB48 held the record with their previous PB “AKB48 Sousenkyou! Mizugi Surprise Happyou 2010″ which sold 71,000 but now their new PB has added another 23k to sell 94,000 copies.

The PB  features the members who made it into the Top 40 senbatsu election and has them posing in their swimsuits with some interviews. An extra if you buy the book is 150 poster cards and double-sided massive poster of the senbatsu members.

Jurina Matsui Falls Ill With Exhaustion

It didn’t surprise me to hear this news considering she has a pretty tough schedule for such a popular member and taking in account how young she is but SKE48′s Jurina Matsui left a handshake event early at Yokohama yesterday due to falling ill with exhaustion. Those close to Jurina had seen this situation building up for a while and she was even absent from a SKE48 performance on the 9th August. She is currently back home resting on advice from doctors.

Get well soon Jurina and please don’t rush back. Take your time to recuperate and regain your strength.
