Has Watarirouka Hashiritai Added 2 More Permanent Members To Its Lineup?

9 12 2010

According to some reports, Watarirouka Hashiritai has added 2 more AKB48 members to its lineup for their next single but is this is just a one-off thing or have they joined on a permanent basis? We know that Mika Komori and Misaki Iwasa are part of Watarirouka Hashiritai 7 which is to do with a radio show but I’ve got mixed feelings about adding 2 more to the group’s singles. IMO the group is perfect as it is with just 5 members. Don’t get me wrong, I like the 2 new girls especially Mikapon but why tinker with something that’s already good.

Watarirouka Hashiritai’s next single which does not have a name yet comes out on the 2nd February.

Chance no Junban 2nd Day Sales

9 12 2010

During it’s 2nd day on general release, Chance no Junban sold only 54,780 to bring the overall total up to 526,022. This was considerably down on what Beginner sold on the same day (112,151) and also Heavy Rotation (68,439). I’m really disappointed with the sales, I expected it to be a lot more than this. We’ll see if it’ll improve tomorrow.

Happy 5th Birthday AKB48

9 12 2010

Yesterday saw AKB48 turn 5 years old and there was a special show held at the AKB48 Theater with 82 girls performing which included 13 graduated members.  There was a shocking surprise for the kenkyuusei members that were also performing. All of the 9th generation kenkyuusei (Mina Oba, Haruka Shimazaki, Haruka Shimada,Miyu Takeuchi, Mariya Nagao, Mariko Nakamura, Anna Mori, Suzuran Yamauchi) will be promoted to become full fledged members of AKB48. There has been no annoucement which teams they’ll be put into yet. Once the news about that has been released I’ll post the details.
