Is Majisuka Gakuen 3 On It’s Way?

29 02 2012

Were you one of those people that was disappointed by the rather lame ending to Majisuka Gakuen 2? I know I was and to think that the whole build up to the final episode ended in a love fest sucked big time. Last month somebody asked Aki-P if he was filming Maji 3 around August and October. His response was only if he had a completely new cast. Well that’s easily sorted out. I think the storyline with the original cast is dead and buried anyway so to bring new faces would be great. So out with AKB48 and SKE48 and in would come NMB48, HKT48 and Nogizaka46 perhaps as a rival school. It would be a chance for Aki-P to vindicate himself after Maji 2 as many criticised him for that and give us a fresh new story for us to enjoy. Perhaps he could ask the fans through Google+ what they would like to see in the story?

I expect an announcement to be made in the next couple of months. Fans have clamoured for a new season and I fully expect Aki-P to give us one so hopefully before the Summer they’ll be good news on that front. Stay tuned.

Majisuka Gakuen 2 CM

5 04 2011

Don’t forget that Majisuka Gakuen 2 kicks off on April 15th and just to whet your appetite here’s a 30 second CM showing some clips from the new series. It looks like the main theme judging from looking at the CM is going to be Acchan vs Jurina which was hinted strongly right at the end of the first series. I cannot wait for Maji 2 to start.

Yes, There Is A God – Majisuka Gakuen 2 Coming Soon!

24 01 2011

My prayers have finally been answered and for the fans that enjoyed Majisuka Gakuen so much. There will be another series coming in April on the TV Tokyo channel. The only other information that was given out is that even more members than the 60 that had roles in the first series will appear in the drama. No word on the storyline as of yet but we can guess that it’s going to be about Jurina plotting to usurp Maeda as the top dog at Maji High.

I seriously can’t wait to see this and please can we have more Gekikara!!!

AKB48 – Majijo Teppen Blues PV

24 05 2010

For those of you that can’t get enough of Majisuka Gakuen can rejoice as there’s a new song and PV on the newly released special DVD version of the series. The quality of the PV below isn’t fantastic but it’s the best I can find right now but I’m looking for a better one.

The storyline for the PV is like a recap of the series of sorts and it finds Miichan as the school president being mercilessly bullied by Team Hormone for playing Majisuka Rock n Roll on the school PA system before they take out a CD and play Majijo Teppen Blues. Is this PV like a little preview for another season or SP for the series? It’s hard to say but it would be great to revisit the school to see if Jurina actually does go ahead with her threat to challenge Acchan for total supremacy of the school.

Enjoy the 8 minute treat:

Majisuka Gakuen Episode 12 (FINAL) – Summary

10 04 2010

Well here it is, the final episode of the dorama series. How will this series finally end?

Sado and Maeda are rushing to the hospital after they hear of Yuko’s worsening condition. Sado tries to force herself into where Yuko is being trated but is pulled away by the nurses. In the waiting room afterwards, we hear that Yuko has lost consciousness and chances of her recovering are very low. Sado recounts Yuko’s life to Maeda that she lost her parents whilst very young and was raised by her grandmother until she graduated from middle school. When her grandmother also passed away, Yuko looked after herself. Sado vows that Yuko will be at her high school’s graduation ceremony. She’ll be with her. Yuko will definitely open her eyes soon. After Maeda has left, Sado is tearfully singing Sakura no Shiori to herself and thinking of Yuko.

Back at Maji High, Team Hormone speculate that now Maeda has defeated Sado she’ll have to square up to the legendary yankii – Yuko Oshima. Rumours of this possible fight has sent waves of excitement around other yankii schools. Rappappa members look solemn at the school, unsure of their future should Yuko die. Overhearing 3 students making fun of Yuko, Maeda gives them one of her evil stares! Both Maeda and Sado are thinking about their situation as Yuko’s life hangs in the balance.

Graduation Day arrives although usually nobody seems bothered to go but today many have come including all of Maeda’s allies. As Sashi explains to Daruma, the reason being is that everybody wants to know who’s the strongest one in the school. They want Yuko to come. It certainly doesn’t look like that’s going to happen as Yuko’s condition goes critical. As the ceremony begins, Sado is seen rushing to Yuko’s bedside but is it too late?

Miichan as School President makes her speech but breaks down halfway through it. Not that it matters as nobody is taking any real notice of what she is saying. The school pervert doctor helps Miichan away from the stage back to her seat. The diploma awards are ready to be given but none of the graduates are there……..until the 4 Rappappa Queens arrive with Sado bringing Yuko in by wheelchair. She apologises for being late. Though very weak and assisted by Sado and Shibuya, Yuko steps up to the school stage to graciously accept her diploma from the school Principal.

Yuko takes a microphone and addresses Maeda direct. She wants her to come closer to her as she wants to settle everything now. Maeda doesn’t back down and starts to walk down to Yuko. Yuko herself starts stumbling over to Maeda and collapses into some chairs. Shibuya wants to help but Sado stops her. Tears are falling in Sado and the 4 Queens eyes at the bravery of their fallen leader. Yuko gets up and we see a tear falling down her cheek. She tells Maeda not to act all cocky as Rappappa still has her here. She punches Maeda in the chest but it barely has any strength. Yuko relinquishes control of the school over to Maeda. The torch of leadership and the balance of power has now changed. Yuko tells everybody to follow Maeda or they’ll have to deal with her.

Maeda tearfully congratulates Yuko on her graduation. Yuko sits back in her wheelchair and as the new leader Maeda has to take Yuko out of the school hall. As she’s about to start taking Yuko out she looks at Erena and the ghostly form of Minami who’s smiling at her. Maeda takes the two wrist bracelets and uses it to form a ponytail in her hair. As the final journey starts for Yuko out of the school, she tells Maeda how happy she is that somebody has taken over her position. A guard of honor is made for Yuko. One final advice for Maeda from Yuko is she has nothing to be afraid if she has real friends. As Maeda stops, turns around and looks at the 4 Queens and Sado, Yuko’s life ebbs away and she dies peacefully in her wheelchair. Sakura petals are blowing in the hall over Yuko’s lifeless body and around Maeda.

For the final scene of the dorama, Maeda is seen sitting outside on one of the school benches. How many days have passed since the graduation ceremony is unknown but we see that Jurina is sitting close by reading a book. She comes over to Maeda and tries to punch Maeda in the face but it is blocked. Jurina though has a warning to her saying that Maeda’s generation will be replaced soon. Maeda’s reply is “bring it on 1st year”. As Jurina walks away, we see that Nezumi has aligned herself with her. The fight for power at the school is far from over and is set to continue…….

I thought the final episode was a bit of an anti-climax so I was  rather disappointed. No fights or anything dramatic. Sure, the death of Yuko was expected and sad but I expected Nezumi to have sprung a surprise of sorts in the graduation ceremony and maybe a chance for Yuko to die in a blaze of glory in a final fight against a rival school. Still, I did like the final twist with Jurina challenging Maeda. Considering that Jurina has only appeared for about a minute in a previous episode and fans though she was a ghost of some sort it was great in my view to see her as a yankii.

As for the acting of the whole cast – Maeda hasn’t been the best as her character has been like an emotionless cyborg for 90% of the time – saying very little except when necessary and only coming alive when she’s pushed to fight. Daruma as her sidekick though a little annoying at first I did come to like her in the end. Yuko and Mariko have been excellent in their roles and as for the best Queen – it would have to be the sadistic, maniacal and twisted Gekikara for me. Rena Matsui was convincing enough as the nutcase Queen. Nezumi has been a rather intriguing fringe character for me – the puppet master manipulating people and events for her own selfish gain so full marks to Mayuyu for playing her so well with a devilish grin on her face. All of the girls deserve praise for their acting in the dorama.

Overall, I really loved Majisuka Gakuen as a whole. It improved each week as I was a bit unsure after the first episode or two if it would get any better. Thankfully it did and by episode 5 the series had really gotten into it’s stride and hit top form. Now with the ending does this mean that we have a 2nd season or just an SP? I would prefer to see another season but my guess is we’ll just see a special one-off episode.

Thanks for reading these summaries and hopefully it won’t be too long before AKB48 appear in another dorama.

Majisuka Gakuen Episode 11 – Summary

9 04 2010

OK, I’m back and there’s going to be a lot of posts coming up including those about my holiday but I wanted to take a look first at the final 2 episodes of the drama series once I got home which I did. So even though most of you know the final outcome from the last 2 episodes I still feel I should continue and finish what I started with these summaries so here’s episode 11:

A brief recap from episode 10 to start us off with Maeda confronting Yuko in her hospital room now that she knows Yuko’s real identity and where she stands in the grand scheme of things at Maji High. Yuko tells her she heard about Maeda and Sado beating Yakubune and knew she could do it but insists that Sado will be next for her. But Maeda doesn’t want to fight her as she’s looking ahead to the future. Yuko says the way ahead is where Sado is now. Sado and herself may be stupid and only live through fighting but there’s still honor so she tells Maeda to go and face Sado. Yuko doesn’t know what happened in Maeda’s past but she got transferred to Maji High. She’s gotten this far in overcoming obstacles that she shouldn’t stop now but continue to go up the stairs. As Yuko ushers Maeda to go get her a blanket she admits that she wanted to have a one-on-one fight with her. As Yuko wipes her nose with her hand it gets covered in blood. This doesn’t look good.

The scheming Nezumi is cursing her luck about Yabakune’s defeat but her grand plan is still on nevertheless. She thinks that both Maeda and Sado will be weak and helpless after they fight. A perfect opportunity to make her move and take over or so she thinks. In fact so happy and confident she is by her plan she breaks out some party poppers to celebrate!!

The students at school are speculating about the outcome of the fight – some thinking that Maeda will be beaten. Erena is contemplating about what Daruma said to her about Maeda also being in pain after Minami’s death. She starts to look at Minami’s book that she was studying to become a nurse with a flashback to the past between the two sisters. Erena notices the friendship messages between Maeda and Minami in the book.

In class, Team Hormone and Daruma are also talking about the upcoming fight with Team Hormone thinking it’ll be a no contest. Even the Principal is thinking about it. At the hospital, Sado tells Yuko that shewill destroy Maeda! Yuko tells her to crush Maeda! Maeda returns home to find her father has made a tasty dish full of tonkatsu cutlets. He reverts back to yankii mode for a moment with some choice words for his daughter which she seems to appreciate.

The next day dawns with the big fight on. Maeda’s supporters including those who she defeated before but are now her allies join her on the long walk up the location of the battle. Erena stops Maeda on the way to say she hates her. Maeda though seems to understand her feelings and says she won’t lose as she doesn’t want Minami to laugh at her.

As they progress up the floors they come across 4 Rappappa members who insist that from this point upwards only Maeda can go. Despite Daruma’s protests, Maeda stops her and goes it alone – passing the 4 Rappappa Queens before reaching Sado. A special room has been prepared for the scrap. Sado orders Maeda to take off her glasses. As the silver ball from Sado’s kendama rolls off a table the fight begins in earnest. It’s long and brutal with Maeda a little surprised at Sado’s strength. The initial outcome points to a defeat to Maeda as Sado pummels her. Maeda gets her shots in on Sado but this just makes her more mad. Everybody on the outside from Nezumi to Yuko to the Rappappa Queens to Maeda’s friends is anxious to know what’s happening. As Maeda is lying on the floor after a vicious punch she starts to think about the people close to her and their encouraging words for her. This fires Maeda up with a burst of energy that swings the fight in her favor by utilising and copying moves from her friends. With both combatants visibly tired and bloodied from their bruising encounter it is Maeda that finally wins the contest. But it was close, so very close to Sado beating her.

As Sado lies crying on the floor thinking about Yuko, Maeda with a new found respect for Sado sportingly offers her hand. A long shrill cry from Sado echoes throughout the school corridors. Both Maeda and Sado emerge from the combat den together. Sado collapses in the arms of the 4 Queens whilst Maeda goes back downstairs to her jubiliant friends. Nezumi looks disgruntled at Maeda’s victory but carries on her merry way with a grin. Even Erena is close to tears with Maeda, thinking about her late sister.

As the episode comes to an end, things are looking grim for Yuko as we see her rushed on a hospital gurney in obvious pain. Is she about to die?

What a brilliant episode this was and the fight between Sado and Maeda though not the best scrap in the series was fairly good and long. I thought Mariko’s acting as Sado really shone out in this episode going through the whole gamut of emotions from being tough to crying her eyes out. It was also great to see the awesome Gekikara once more even though it was only brief. I would have loved to have seen another fight between her and Maeda. I’m still not sure how the final episode will pan out but I can’t wait to see how it finishes and if all loose ends will be tied up or do we have more surprises in store?

I’ll be back with the final episode summary tomorrow night.

Majisuka Gakuen Episode 10 – Summary

17 03 2010

We begin at Rappappa HQ where we see the return of Shibuya and Black along with Torigoya. 4 underlings are asking that Rappappa should do something to which Shibuya replies “what do you mean by that”. They also ask when is Yuko returning but they have no answer. Torigoya says Sado has gone to “that place” to focus on destroying Maeda herself.

Team Hormone are eating as usual in their classroom. Sashi’s nose still hasn’t healed properly but Kitahara has gotten over her trauma from last week and is eating meat again with Daruma contemplating on the rooftop. Erena is in the process of putting thumbtacks in Maeda’s shoes  when Nezumi scares her making Erena drop the tacks. She tells her that if she wants to beat Maeda she has to follow her rules.

As Maeda is washing her hands outside and thinking they’re covered in blood, Daruma comes along and gives her a big hug insisting she’s not alone. It falls on deaf ears with Maeda pushing her away before walking off.  Sado gets a call to say that Yuko has collaped at the hospital and goes to visit her. As Maeda enters her classroom, Erena is there to issue a one-on-one challenge to her. She wants to resolve everything concerning her big sister. Maeda is wondering who her big sister could be? Then it hits her that Erena is Takamina’s little sister. As Maeda is about to follow Erena out of the classroom, the whole of Team Hormone after a pep talk by Sashi wants to accompany her. Maeda wants to do this alone but you can see that she’s thankful of their support.

Yuko wakes up to a tearful Sado at her bedside. She grabs Sado and tells her not to be hesitant as it makes her look weak. Maeda arrives at the location of her fight with Erena only to walk into a trap by rival school Yabakune. They surround her and get ready to strike. Erena is on the school rooftop when Daruma comes up asking what’s Maeda ever done to her. Erena tells her everything about Takamina, her sister and how Maeda killed her.

As Yabakune begin their assault on Maeda, we see flashbacks on Maeda and Takamina’s friendship and how they took care of one gang together. However Takamina insisted that they should stop fighting. She wanted to become a nurse (at least we know why Maeda is working at the hospital – probably repenting for Takamina’s death by following her chosen career). Also we finally know the significance of the wrist bracelets that Maeda’s carrying. They were a sign of an oath between herself and Takamina to stop fighting, study together and get serious.

Yabakune is getting the upper hand on Maeda and she looks a beaten girl. Nezumi enjoying every second of it. The full background to Takamina’s death is played out – she was trying to protect Maeda and she got destroyed by the gang that she had defeated with Maeda before. Daruma tries to tell Erena that Maeda is suffering Takamina’s death as much as she is but Erena explains that she is now experiencing the same punishment that her sister did. Daruma calls her an idiot before storming off.

More flashbacks as Maeda looks on Takamina’s lifeless body at the hospital. She thinks her death is all her fault. As we come back to the present and the final blow is about to be struck on Maeda by Yabakune, an unexpected ally comes to her rescue…….Sado!!! Sado’s words reminds Maeda of the same ones that Takamina had told her previously. It fires her up and both Sado and Maeda clean house on Yabakune with a lot of them fleeing except the President. Maeda delivers a crushing KO on her.

The aftermath sees Daruma arriving and Maeda is now ready to accept her and the others as her friends. She’s put her past troubles behind her and is now free. As Sado is leaving, she tells Maeda that she’s going to be her next opponent. She’s doing it for her sick president who’s in hospital fighting a disease. The penny drops for Maeda who she’s referring to – Yuko. The final scene sees Maeda visiting Yuko at hospital.

What a great episode. Good to see what went down with Maeda and Takamina in the past and how close they were. It seems to me that it was Takamina that was calling the shots in their friendship with Maeda hanging on to her every word.  It’s just a shame that she’s dead. What a bunch of wimps Yabakune were – all tough when ganging up on one person but as soon as Sado and Maeda starting banging heads they’re running away like cowards. Some hammy acting to be had by the Yabakune President.

Next episode: Sado vs Maeda and the return of Gekikara – YES!!!

Majisuka Gakuen Episode 9 Summary

14 03 2010

The opening finds Torigoya locked in a chicken coop, begging Sado to get her out as she’s terrified of the chickens around her. Sado is nearby and listening to her pleas. Something happens and Sado rushes to the coop to see a lot of feathers flying. As she opens and enters the coop there’s no sign of Torigoya until she appears behind her. It looks like she’s been transformed into a human chicken with her look!

Daruma enters her classroom at school, trying to forget what Maeda told her before about not being friends. She tries to act normal in front of her but Maeda is having none of it. She stands up and leaves the classroom. Later Team Hormone and Daruma are anxiously awaiting more meat to arrive to eat by Rie Kitahara. As her character runs in the school corridor a meat package drops on the floor with a hand snatching it away. Trying to find out who did that, she encounters Torigoya who puts a hand to her head and says “I saw it” before whispering something in her ear. There’s a look of shock on Kitahara’s face. As she enters the classroom in a trance-like state as the others are eating she recoils in terror shouting “bugs bugs bugs”. Daruma finds a chicken feather on her shoulder. Sashi suspects it’s Torigoya.

Maeda is reading on the rooftop but finds her book has been tampered with – the word MURDERER has been scrawled on the pages inside. She turns round to see Erena glaring at her before walking away. Maeda follows her but she’s disappeared. A feather falls from the ceiling. Maeda picks it up and there is Torigoya in her face. Torigoya employs the same technique used on Kitahara. It seems she’s a mind reader of some sort as we see images of Maeda in a hospital watching doctors trying to save somebody’s life. She whispers “scapegoat” to Maeda’s ear. Maeda collapses on the floor after this experience.

She finds herself in the school’s medical room where the creepy nurse is filming her body before she wakes up. Daruma visits her and says she fainted in the corridor. Maeda is haunted by her own voice saying “you killed her”. Even her reflection in the mirror is mocking her which makes her try and smash it with a chair. Torigoya has really messed up her mind.

Torigoya reports back to Sado on what she’s done to Maeda with Sado thinking that this time she’s finished for good. It’s Sado’s turn to be used by Torigoya’s mind tricks when she touches one of her objects. Sado tries to stop her but is told “try to be more obedient”. Nezumi drops by on Sado. It seems it’s been her that has been supplying Sado with information on Maeda’s past and that Torigoya could exploit it. Nezumi also has something interesting to say about Yuko.

Maeda is locked away in her bedroom, looking terrified with one of her wristbands covered in blood and seeing images of Takamina’s dead body in the morgue.

At school, Team Hormone are trying to get Kitahara to eat meat once more. She explains what Torigoya did to her and how she whispered “larva” in her ears. Everytime she sees meat it looked like larva to her. She had an incident in the past when she swallowed a larva by mistake and she hates thinking about them now.

Maeda gets a message on her mobile with the words “welcome back” repeated over and over until in the end it says “welcome back to the park where you killed that girl”. She gets up and leaves with Daruma trying to follow but she cuts her off saying “why don’t you get it?”.

Yuko is visited by Sado at the hospital who apologies for the slap she gave her. Yuko tries to make light of it with Sado informing her of Gekikara’s defeat. Yuko thinks it’s her turn now to try and defeat Maeda until Sado tells her that Torigoya has been awakened. Yuko is not pleased about this at all. She’s furious because Torigoya is fearsome and gets inside your head. Not only can she see your memories but words are her prime weapon. By whispering in your ear, you can see nightmares from your past that you don’t want to see. Sado insists that Maeda should be broken.

At the very spot that Takamina died, Maeda is confronted once more by Torigoya. She takes Maeda’s wristbands and sees the moment of Takamina’s death. She further inflicts psychological punishment on Maeda’s already fragile mind. She starts to see Takamina but it’s all a trick. However, though, the trick backfires as Torigoya screams in agony with the images coming out of Maeda’s mind.

We see that Nezumi’s grand plan is coming along nicely – telling Sado that Yuko and Maeda spent an afternoon together and that Yuko has plans on Maeda being the next heir to Rappappa. All lies of course but Sado has fallen for it – hook, line and sinker. She asks Yuko if it was true that she did hang out with Maeda. She remains silent. Sado informs Yuko that she won’t hand over Rappappa to Maeda.

Meanwhile, Torigoya has recovered and is back to her old self again but this doesn’t stop Maeda attacking her whilst defenceless. Nezumi is watching. She reports back to rival school Yabakune that they should beat Maeda and with all 4 queens now defeated Maji High is theirs for the taking but if they’re going to attack now is the time to strike. Yabakune gather together to psych themselves up for the upcoming battle. Nezumi is walking the streets, laughing away and hoping that both camps kill each other. Erena is following Maeda and Yuko collapses in her hospital room.

Another top notch episode. Kojima’s character Torigoya was interesting. The other queens have relied on their strength as their main weapon but Torigoya’s is using her psychological tricks to destroy her victim’s minds to make them weak. It was brutal to see Maeda beating Torigoya in an unprovoked attack. With 3 episodes of the series left to go, we’re at the beginning of the end as Nezumi’s master plan is coming to fruition at last. What twists and turns are we likely to see before the final episode?

Next Episode: Yabakune are on the warpath and more on the Maeda/Takamina friendship.

3 Teens Arrested For Stealing Props From Majisuka Gakuen

13 03 2010

The Mainichi News reported that 3 teenage boy fans of AKB48 went to the location where the group were filming Majisuka Gakuen and stole 8 items from the set. The alleged incident happened during December last year. Police eventually found out about them, arrested the trio to which they admitted everything. The 3 from Hino, Tokyo found out the location of the school used for the drama from Yuko Oshima’s blog. A signboard, cushions and some coats that were to be used by some of the girls were nabbed by the trio. They planned to sell the items.

I’m actually planning myself to visit the location of the school when I return to Tokyo in less than 2 weeks time. Even though I know filming for Majisuka Gakuen has finished, I hope I can have a nice stroll around the old school if possible.

Majisuka Gakuen Episode 8 Summary

12 03 2010

The opening gets us the first shot of who will be taking Maeda on this week: the laughing Gekikara!

Daruma and Team Hormone are in class discussing Gekikara and how she’s not human, is fond of violence and is one card short a full deck. As Daruma and Maeda are walking home they find a trail of blood that leads to the bloodied carcasses of the Kabuki Sisters who are tied standing up to a fence. They tell Maeda to run away but Gekikara shows up with a maniacal smile across her face streaked with blood. She’s carrying a bloody umbrella – her weapon of choice against the Kabuki Sisters. She asks Maeda if she’s angry and gleefully laughs that she’ll destroy everyone before walking off.

Four Rappappa underlings are in their HQ making fun of Shibuya and trying on 2 of the fallen Queen’s jackets when Sado & Gekikara arrive. Gekikara toys around with them who are rightly scared with her behavior. Sado is loving it, thinking to herself that this time Maeda will be defeated.

Maeda is on the school rooftop contemplating about Gekikara and her attack on the Kabuki Sisters when sombody turns up to join her. It’s a new character – Erena who stares at Maeda before going away. Gekikara is continuing her rampage of violence – utterly destroying Team Hormone and inflicting a horrible injury to one of them with a pencil split in half. Ouch that had to hurt!!

Yuko is playing a game with her adult male friends at the hospital but when they leave her alone she starts thinking about the slap that Sado gave her – totally unaware why she did it.

The aftermath of Gekikara’s attack on Team Hormone has all of them holed up in the school’s medical room with Daruma asking what happened? It seems that everybody associated with Maeda is being targeted – the latest victim being Gakuran who is smashed to a bloody pulp by a creepy laughing Gekikara. Everybody starts distancing themselves from Maeda, fearful of Gekikara’s vengeance apart from Daruma that is. The next on Gekikara’s hitlist is none other than Choukoku who warns Maeda to stay away from the school for a while.

Daruma is on the warpath looking for Gekikara but she bumps into a teacher instead who is unceremoniously headbutted by her! Maeda is walking the corridors of the school when she comes face to face with Gekikara who is cutting a paper fan to shreds with a pair of scissors. She taunts Maeda but makes the fatal error of saying “majisuka” which is just what Maeda needs to start unloading on her. Gekikara is still laughing as she’s being beaten up and she tries to bite Maeda’s ear off. The fight continues in a classroom with Maeda in full control until Gekikara grabs hold of a chair and smacks Maeda in the head with it. Now it’s her turn to be punched in the face several times until the timely intervention of Gakuran and the Kabuki Sisters. They attack Gekikara but the Kabuki Sisters are swiftly dispatched and Gakuran is bitten in the leg before being hit on the head by a desk. Gekikara is truly a totally crazy ass girl!! It’s back to the one-on-one between Maeda and Gekikara with Maeda taking the upper hand. Sado and Nezumi are watching Maeda’s assault on Gekikara who is still laughing away merrily as she’s punched continuously across her face.

Sado stares at Maeda after Gekikara’s defeat but when Gakuran recovers and comes to her aid, Sado is gone. Gekikara still isn’t down and out and calls Maeda – the God of Death and warning Gakuran and the Kabuki Sisters to stay away from Maeda before trundling off a bloody mess and minus a tooth! Daruma arrives with her face full of bandages saying she’s been attacked by Gekikara but everybody knows it’s all fake. Maeda blatantly tells all of them that they’re not her friends.

The Principal and a teacher are talking about Maeda when Daruma overhears their conversation. She knows why she’s been transferred saying that Maeda has a violent disposition. She’s using Maeda as a tool to clean up the school and knows full well of her involvement in a girl’s death.

Sado meanwhile turns to her last trump card – Torigoya (Kojima) in her fight against Maeda. It seems she has some kind of fear against chickens.

As Maeda is cleaning her face, Erena confronts her and calls her a murderer, saying that she killed Minami.

This episode totally blew me away, easily the best we’ve had so far and as for Rena Matsui – I adore her even more now. She was frikkin awesome as Gekikara. I love her character so much – she’s my favorite. She came across so convincing as a nutjob. I don’t think I’d want to come face to face with her in a dark alley. I want to see more of her and I’m sure we will too in the last couple of episodes.

Next week: Torigoya is Maeda’s next challenge.
